Norm Strung Youth Writing Awards
Exclusive sponsorship: $2,000; Co-sponsorship: $500. Contact OWAA HQs for current availability.
To encourage students to sharpen their abilities to communicate the outdoor experience, annual cash awards are offered as part of the OWAA Norm Strung Youth Writing Awards. The contest features separate categories for poetry and prose. Cash awards and certificates are granted in both categories and in two different divisions: senior (grades 9-12) and junior (grades 6-8).

Traveling Photo Exhibit
Each year OWAA’s traveling photo exhibit is available for display at trade show attendees, students and nature centers visitors nationwide. A few of the trade shows scheduled from past years include the Eastern Fishing & Outdoor Expo, N.H.; Greater Philadelphia Expo; Indian Creek Nature Center, Iowa; and the Springfield Conservation Nature Center, Mo.
- $150 per show plus shipping costs.
