Jack Ballard, Nick Lowrey, and Emily Stone have been elected to three-year terms on OWAA’s board of directors.
Members of the Outdoor Writers Association of America elected Ann Simpson of Virginia, Matt Soberg of Minnesota, and Danielle Taylor of Pennsylvania, to serve on the organization’s board of directors. The new board members start their three-year terms on June 26, 2017, at OWAA’s annual conference in Duluth, Minnesota.
Becky Jones Mahlum replaced Tom Keer on the OWAA board of directors after Keer resigned. She will serve the remainder of his term, which is set to expire in 2018.
Marty Malin of Laredo was named the 2017 recipient of the coveted L.A. Wilke Award, the highest honor given by the Texas Outdoor Writers Association. Malin is a past president of TOWA and also served as president of the Outdoor Writers Association of America.
