It is the middle of August and a reasonably quiet time here at OWAA.
Most of the HQ team are in and out, taking a break here and there, enjoying the summer.

I took a break and spent some quiet time assessing the first half of the year and thinking about the future.
As I sat at our camp thinking, I realized I could use your help.
You, our members and supporters, are critical to making OWAA the best it can be. Yours is the voice of the outdoors and what you think, say and do help define OWAA and make it bigger, better and stronger.
In talking to members and supporters I’ve learned how important OWAA is to you. You take great pride in your membership and support and have been good enough to share your stories about the organization with me.
As I think about what’s next for OWAA, I would like to know what you would like OWAA to do for you?
When you have an idea or two, leave a comment below or jot them down in an email with the subject “What OWAA can do for me” and email it to me at tsadler (at) owaa (dot) org.
To help get you started here are a few things to think about.
- If we could provide one additional service what would it be?
- What would you say is the most important part of the OWAA mission and how can we do that better?
- If you left OWAA, what would you miss most?
Hearing from you is what makes the organization stronger and more successful. I can’t promise to do everything you suggest but I will promise to read it and respond to you with my thoughts.
Knowing how creative our members and supporters are, I’m sure you have a number of good ideas to share. Please do so!
