MISSOULA, Mont. – OWAA’s board of directors elected Pat Wray of Corvallis, Oregon, second vice president on June 1 at the summer meeting in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Wray officially took his new office June 4, the same day Paul Queneau, of Missoula, Montana, began his term as OWAA’s new president. Queneau replaces Phil Bloom, of Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Wray is a freelance writer, photographer and book author and OWAA member since 1984. As second vice president Wray will serve as on the planning committee for the 2019 conference to be held in Little Rock, Arkansas. He will also become president of the organization in June 2020.
“OWAA and the friends I’ve made within it have been linchpins of my professional and personal life for 34 years.” Wray said in a statement to the board. “I love the organization and will work as hard as is necessary on its behalf. In five years I want OWAA to be stronger, more vibrant and more diverse. “
