Missoula, Mont. – Outdoor Writers Association of America announces the pre- and post-conference trips for attendees of the 2011 conference in Salt Lake City, Utah. Trips highlight the wide range of outdoor opportunities Utah has to offer.

Pre- and post-conference trips offer a variety of activities and fun-filled adventures for OWAA members including ATV adventures, hiking, mountain biking, fly-fishing, horseback riding, even kayaking and whitewater river rafting.

All FAM trips are available on a first come, first served basis. Partners and spouses are also welcome to participate. A top pick from a local committee member will be featured every two weeks on the homepage of the new 2011 conference website. Local committee members use their first-hand experience and knowledge of Utah destinations to highlight advantages of specific trips that target all types of outdoor enthusiast.

These incredible excursions through some of the most unique and scenic parts of the country are offered by the Utah Office of Tourism and Utah State Parks.

The 1,200 member Outdoor Writers Association America is the oldest and largest association of professional outdoor communicators in the United States. It was organized in 1927 by members of the Izaak Walton League of America and includes professional communicators dedicated to sharing the outdoor experience.
