Missoula, Mont.- Outdoor Writers Association of America (OWAA) announces a discount rate for first-time attendees of the OWAA annual conference.

Half of a member’s current-year dues will be applied toward conference registration if they are a first-time conference attendee.

The discount rate is scheduled to take effect for “green ribbon” members who wish to attend the annual conference July 9-11, 2011, at the Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort near Salt Lake City, Utah.

“I’m delighted that the board voted to extend this unique opportunity to members who have not previously attended conference. The 50% dues credit will help make the trip more affordable,” said Executive Director Robin Giner.

“The OWAA conference is a terrific opportunity to network with fellow OWAAers, explore new parts of the country, shake hands with editors and learn about the latest and greatest from our industry supporters. I hope many of our members will take advantage of this opportunity and join us for their first conference in Salt Lake City next July,” Giner said.
